Our Commitment

Sweet Liquor is committed to promoting responsible alcohol consumption. We believe in the enjoyment of fine spirits in a safe, moderate and responsible manner. We actively discourage alcohol abuse and take our role as a retailer seriously.

Know Your Limits

  • The recommended safe limit is no more than 2 standard drinks per day for women and 3 for men
  • One standard drink contains approximately 10g of pure alcohol
  • Your body processes roughly one standard drink per hour
  • Factors like body weight, food intake and medications affect alcohol tolerance
  • Never feel pressured to drink more than you are comfortable with

Never Drink and Drive

Drink driving is illegal in Kenya and extremely dangerous. If you plan to drink:
  • Arrange a designated driver before you start drinking
  • Use a taxi, boda boda or ride-hailing service
  • Stay where you are until you are sober
  • The legal blood alcohol limit in Kenya is 0.08% — but any amount impairs driving

Signs of Alcohol Dependence

  • Feeling the need to drink every day
  • Drinking alone or in secret
  • Losing control over how much you drink
  • Experiencing withdrawal symptoms when not drinking
